CCG has commenced delivery of 20 homes at the former Calderwood Lodge Primary School in Glasgow's south side.

The construction and manufacturing group is working on designs by Stallan-Brand Architects for the site overlooking Newlands Park on Calderwood Road.

A sixties-era classroom block has already been demolished in readiness for the build, leaving only a sandstone villa dating from 1909 that will be incorporated within new build brick elements.Together these will provide 19 apartments and one three-bedroom mews house.

CCG Homes managing director, Calum Murray, commented: “Formal construction works will now be undertaken by CCG (Scotland) with the restoration of the Victorian villa and the new build construction of the new homes each forming a truly unique offering to be part of Glasgow’s heritage in one of the city’s most sought-after postcodes."

Calderwood Lodge will be fronted by landscaped communal gardens with tarmacked garden grounds to the rear reinstated as amenity space with 22 parking spaces.

The scheme looks rather large in comparison with the existing villa however very nice high quality images.
