Graham Construction is to deliver two student accommodation projects in Edinburgh on behalf of Watkin Jones, following the sale of both sites by developer S. Harrison.

Planning permission has already been secured by ICA Architects for both sites, allowing work to commence immediately on both projects in tandem.

The larger project is valued at £20.4m and will deliver 400-beds over seven storeys at the junction of Westfield Road and Westfield Avenue, Gorgie. This will be joined by a 249-bed build at Gorgie Road valued at £14.4m.

Graham regional managing director Gary Holmes said: “These projects further bolster our strong position in the student accommodation and build-to-rent sectors. The facilities we are constructing for Watkins Jones will provide high-quality student accommodation, incorporating the full range of lifestyle and amenity facilities which today’s students expect.”

Both developments are scheduled to complete by mid-2022.
