Strathclyde's biomedical advance

The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) promises to provides a centre for teaching and research and bring together a multi disciplinary team to tackle drug discovery and development.The £36 million purpose built facility has been designed by Sheppard Robson architects and structural engineers Buro Happold. It represents the universities largest single project to date and is hoped the laboratories will attract leading scientists to Glasgow.
The building will sit on an elevated glass podium interlinked with the existing John Arbuthnott Building via link bridges.
