Chapelton New Town extends growth spurt
January 7 2021
The latest phase of the Chapelton New Town in Aberdeenshire has been unveiled by Elsick Development Company hot on the hells of a first phase of 200 homes.
Ultimately hosting up to 4,045 homes the latest release with a range of new properties the latest phase is being led by Aboyne-based AJC, ZeroC, Stephen and Snowdrop Developments, available for sale and shared equity.
A further six plots on the southern boundary of the developing town will be made available for self-build.
The Duke of Fife, director of Elsick Development Company, said: “This past year has been difficult for us all but as we move into 2021 we are excited to see these new opportunities coming to life.
“More and more buyers are keen to move to a location that is equipped for everyday life – from spacious modern homes that include workspace and superfast internet, to plenty of recreational areas and a supportive surrounding community. We look forward to sharing more about the plans and opportunities in coming months.”
A tearoom, nursery and visitor centre have already taken shape as the seed of a neighbourhood centre and high street following a masterplan set out by Brooks Murray Architects and detailed design taken forward by Michael Gilmour Associates..

Erm, I think the Duke of Fife needs to have a look at what is being built, because those homes most certainly are not spacious, nor are modern in the slightest.
