Sign of the times as Dundee pub makes way for homes
April 30 2020
West Developments have begun marketing an infill residential development in Dundee in anticipation of lockdown restrictions being eased.
Overseen by Jon Frullani Architects the project will see the derelict Jimmy Shand pub on Dickson Avenue demolished to make way for six townhouses.
All being well work should get underway later this year with the promise of open views across the Tay.
Each semi-detached home will offer four-bedrooms and come equipped with solar panels and provision for electric vehicle charging.
The pub redevelopment is the second to get underway for the practice following an earlier application to rebuild another former pub nearby as 11 flats above ground-floor retail - symptomatic of pre-virus declines in the licensed trade.

Making the development sustainable financially was probably the brief.
Without that you have nothing.
Sitting in you Ivory Tower throwing stones is much more fun, eh Mick ?
