Drum Property Group has released a new image illustrating the scale of the planned transformation of Glasgow’s Candleriggs as work resumes to fully clear the site.
Despite being in the middle of building Buchanan Wharf the developer has already turned its sights to the next big thing, a mixed-use masterplan prepared by Stallan-Brand Architects designed to heal an open wound in the fabric of the city.
Graeme Bone, group managing director of Drum, said: “During 2019, the company launched a significant number of projects and secured operator commitments for over 900,000 sq. ft of development in Scotland, building on the success of previous years and further enhancing our significant market share.
“This included the agreement of the first institutional build-to-rent transaction in Scotland -a hugely significant deal which should act as a catalyst for a new wave of institutional investors in the country. We look forward to continuing to build an exciting pipeline of new projects to build on this success in the coming years.”
Drum Property Group were named property company of the year at last nights Scottish Property Awards.

The sun has a habit of moving around a bit...
Consequently get it built ASAP.
House building in Scotland is in crisis -- growing rash of high density but detached, greenfield edge developments in secondary locations offering nothing but cookie cutter design and space for the posh Golf aka the A3.
They make Bishopbriggs look good they are so poor.
