August 21 2008
Barclays have unveiled a stylish new look at its flagship Glasgow branch.Located within Cooper Cromar’s Aurora building on Bothwell Street the interior borrows inspiration from hotel and restaurant design, boasting Wi-fi access and lounge areas.
The bank aim to use the investment to present themselves as the most technologically advanced on the high street.
Branch manager, Jim Jarvie said: “The key is to use technology not for its own sake, but to enable customers to use branches the way they want to. Some will use counters, others want to meet face-to-face, others want to work electronically - our new branches will allow customers to use them as they want."
