Dundee creative hub opens for business

A waterfront business hub has been officially unveiled by Tayforth Properties within a converted transit warehouse at Dundee’s City Quay.

Water’s Edge, formerly known as Shed 25, is situated between Camperdown and Victoria Dock’s and has been completely reimagined by Nicoll Russell Studios to serve as grade A office space marketed toward a broad mix of entrepreneurs and freelancers working everywhere from gaming to social enterprise.

Stewart Clark, managing director of Tayforth Properties, remarked: "It's been a fantastic journey seeing this building transformed from a derelict transit shed into an inspiring workspace, just brimming with life and creative energy. It is a testament to the professionalism of the whole team, from the vision of architects Nicoll Russell Studios to seeing the dream become a reality through Lyon Building Services.

“We wanted to create a dynamic space where people would feel more productive and collaborate with fellow tenants."

Two students at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design will be given the opportunity to display their sculptures on an internal street, doubling as a communal collaboration space.
