Hawkins/Brown launch Studio Scotland
February 27 2019
Hawkins/Brown have struck out north with the establishment of Studio Scotland, a dedicated office spanning Edinburgh and Glasgow led by Peter McLaughlin, formerly of 7N Architects.
The practices third UK office will join existing premises in London and Manchester with the aim of increasing its presence and offer to the local market.
Euan Macdonald, partner at Hawkins\Brown, commented: “We learned from the success of Studio North in Manchester that if you’re serious about engaging in a market with a distinct regional character, alongside established competitors, the best way forward is to join in and become part of the conversation. We’re excited by the prospect of contributing to the thriving built environment community in Scotland.”
McLaughlin will be joined by Shoko Kijima and Harriet Redman at One Lochrin Square, both of whom have relocated from London to serve as associates in the new studio.
