St Andrews Links Trust has brought forward plans for a 1,200sq/ft headquarters within the home of golf.

The office building will unite 50 head office staff under one roof for the first time, offering a mix of open plan office space as well as meeting rooms and training areas for a further 400 permanent and seasonal staff.

The energy efficient design has been drawn up by Nicoll Russell Studios to sit as unobtrusively within the Links landscape as possible.

Scott Turpie, director at Nicoll Russell Studios, commented: “The new headquarters will fulfill a key role in the trust’s wider and ongoing improvement plans for the area, consolidating a range of administrative resources together under one roof and strengthening capacity to deliver further enhancements for golfers. “

Work on the new HQ should begin this summer for completion by November 2020.

Thumbs up from me. Skilfully handled mix of modern and historic language. The first view reminds me of the approach to the Burrell.
