BDP target North American growth with Canadian alliance

BDP has formed a partnership with Canadian counterparts Quadrangle to forge a unified prospectus for further growth across North America.
The strategic investment will see Quadrangle’s office of 110 architects, plus over 90 interior designers, technologists and support staff continue to use the Quadrangle name. Existing leadership will also remain in place.
BDP employs over 1,000 staff, 378 of whom are qualified architects, with studios in China, India, Ireland, the Middle East, Netherlands and Singapore.
Chief executive John McManus said: “The addition of a 200-strong studio in one of North America’s largest cities will not only provide exceptional opportunities for our people, it will also enable both BDP and Quadrangle to expand our services into new regions.
“We are also delighted to welcome four of Quadrangle’s principals to the BDP group board.”
Founded in 1986 Quadrangle specialises in architecture, master planning and interior design, with a portfolio of work that spans portfolio spans the commercial, mixed-use, multi-unit residential, content media and retail.
It is currently in process of delivering 80 Atlantic Avenue, the first timber-built office building in Toronto for over a century.
