Dandara plan additional Hazledene housing
December 14 2018
Dandara have filed plans to build an additional 216 homes as part of the Pinewood Hazledene masterplan in Aberdeen, near Countesswells, increasing the total number of homes across the site to 479.
Development will be spread across five separate plots with connecting roads built to ‘Designing Streets’ standards with tree planting, clearly defined edges and footpaths plugging into a wetland path and walking network.
In a statement the developer wrote: “The proposed housing is predominately two storeys with pitched roofs. To add variety and scale, single storey elements have been introduced with dormer windows. This allows additional space to be created in the roof adding interest along the roof line. The massing of the houses, pallet of materials used and window configuration draw on the materials and massing of the existing housing, ensuring the development has a sense of place.”
Homes will include a mix of apartments, terraced properties and detached housing.
