McTaggart Construction launch Riverside Dalmarnock

McTaggart Construction have launched their ambitious vision for Dalmarnock, further detailing their plans to create a mixed tenure development of 562 homes on ex-industrial land by the banks of the River Clyde.

Riverside Dalmarnock is being backed by Link Group and Laurel Homes and will offer a mix of flats, houses and cottage flats together with associated public realm.

Designed to be tenure neutral the Hypostyle scheme will be built to home zone principles and includes a central park, open boulevards and landscaped riverfront terraces occupying 22 acres of remediated land.

Locals are being offered the chance to buy into the development 28 days prior to the schemes release on the open market via a priority purchaser sales launch on 29 September.

Some nice stuff in there. Still feel the density of all these developments so close to the city centre is too low.... Lovely presentation, especially how it leaves out the fact that across those Clyde River Views is the back of a MacDonalds, Tesco and a Storage Unit!

A little unfair there Basil. There's a fairly dense bank of trees screening that, although granted the higher up balconies will probably see over that, especially in winter. The cycle path is a nice route and well used, with plenty wildlife to see.

Rather nice! Hope the owners will be aware of the seasonal planting common charges.

Some nice spaces within the scheme but seems slightly let down by the elevations along Strathclyde St and along the river.

Great. Really like this - but there don't seem to be any amenities you'd expect in a neighbourhood of this scale. A few shops, coffee places and even a pub would go down a treat. With the footfall using Cunningar Loop too, it seems a missed opportunity.
