LDA Design commits to becoming an employee-owned business
June 29 2018
LDA Design has marked Employee Ownership Day by embarking on the road to become an employee-owned business itself, handing all 150 members of staff a stake in the company’s future.
The decision to establish an Employee Ownership Trust ushers in a lengthy process of discussion and decision making which could take two years to complete.
The move dovetails with the establishment of three new start-up studios in Bristol, Cambridge and Manchester.
Andrew Harland, LDA Design Chairman, commented: “This move is a bold and exciting one for us. The Board wants to share the business to grow it, and believes this to be the right way to secure a long and bright future.
“We have always wanted LDA Design to not be about individual egos but the brilliance of the collective. That aim holds true, and we want to see a future where all of our employees can help to shape our business. This will put us in an even stronger position and make succession planning easier.”
