Robertson has handed over a £4.95m community facility in Bishopbriggs providing locals with access to a nursery, hall, café, meeting rooms and play area.Auchinairn Community & Early Years Centre, commissioned by East Dunbartonshire Council, broke ground in May of last year to designs by Holmes Miller Architects.
Ed Parry, managing director, Robertson Central West, said: “This is a state-of-the-art facility and one that I am sure residents of Auchinairn will take to their hearts.”
East Dunbartonshire provost Alan Brown added: “It is already very busy with local groups using its hall and meeting spaces every night of the week, the café is up and running and the children in the nursery are loving exploring their new indoor and outdoor learning and play areas.”
Finished in textured brick with smooth acid etched precast concrete panels the hall has been given a domestic scale to make it as approachable as possible.
