Perth’s Bertha Park breaks ground
April 16 2018
Springfield Properties have moved onsite to deliver a 3,000 home ‘village’ at Bertha Park in Perth, located off the Inveralmond Roundabout.A 30-year masterplan calls for a mix of private and affordable houses and apartments to be created in addition to a 1,100 place secondary school scheduled to open in time for the 2019 academic year.
Designed by Norr this will include a synthetic grass pitch and multi-use games area in addition to a mix of teaching, social and dining facilities. A primary school will also be added at a later date.
Springfield Chief Executive, Innes Smith, said: “Once the foundations are poured and the first blocks are down it doesn’t take long for timber kits to be up and before we know it, the streets will start to take shape.”
Office space, shops and healthcare facilities will also be offered on-site.

Yeah this looks like an ideal architectural approach for a 'village'....or perhaps its an honest response to the vacuous, suburban (business park) setting?
