March 19 2018
Planning permission is being sought for a £19m health centre at Queens Quay, Clydebank, part of a £250m regeneration of the former John Brown’s shipyard.Arranged over three-levels the 62,400sq/ft Clydebank Health and Care Centre has been designed by Anderson Bell + Christie to bring care professionals together under one roof in a single integrated building.
Improvements to the river basin and frontage to facilitate the development are already underway, including a new esplanade with decorative railings to open the former shipyard up to the public.
Operated by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde the facility is still to be subject to a contractor tender process.
A £15m care home is planned to sit alongside the health centre.
