Inverness Justice Centre breaks ground
Robertson Northern have broken ground on the first of a new breed of justice centres as it begins delivery of new court and tribunals facilities in Inverness.

Timetabled to complete late next year the Reiach & Hall designed Inverness Justice Centre will integrate a range of support organisations within its walls as well as specialist facilities for children and young people.

Eric McQueen, chief executive of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service, said: “Inverness Justice Centre is a unique opportunity to bring organisations together, focussing where practical on problem-solving approaches to reduce reoffending and increase the opportunity for community sentencing.

“The centre will represent the changing face of justice by including facilities and technology to remove the need for children to appear in person at court and to support the development of digital case management for summary crime in the future.”

Upon completion the SCTS will vacate its current base at Inverness Castle, handing it over to Highland Council for use as a new tourism venue.

It's good to see Inverness getting some nice elegant civic architecture for a change. Well done to the client for going with R&H.

Looks a well planned building, but R&H really do like their white colonnade effect. We're all kind of over it now, no?

With the hierarchy at Reiach & Hall it must get quite depressing administering the rollout of the same style again and again.
