Western Infirmary demolition in full swing

Dem Master have swung into action to clear the way for a £1bn University of Glasgow masterplan, by clearing the former Western Infirmary which stood in its way.Giant mechanical long reach digging machines have been deployed by demolition experts to open up 14 acres of prime development land in the heart of the West End.
Drawn up by 7N Architects, Simpson & Brown, Aecom, Arup and LUC theapproved masterplan will see a new Research Hub; Institute of Health & Wellbeing; Adam Smith Business School and College of Arts built.
The university intends to spend £430m over the next five years on the delivery of the projects first phase.
