23 homes pledged for Kinghorn
November 15 2017
Huxli Homes have notified Fife Council of their intent to erect 19 flats and three houses of between one and three bedrooms on vacant land off Burntisland Road, Fife.Conceived by Fouin + Bell the scheme is arranged across four separate blocks, three of flatted accommodation and one detached and two semi-detached townhouses – each above a ground floor entrance and garage.
Contemporary in design these homes will be finished primarily in white dry-dash render with stone /buff coloured facing brick panels with a grey Rockclad material used for the uppermost storey.
Explaining the design process as part of their planning submission the architects observed: “A high quality multi brick, with crisp white render and dark grey board create a contemporary feel to the materials proposed.
“Extensive use of generous windows allows light to flood in and take advantage of the views over the Firth of Forth to the south east and the golf course to the north west. South east facing balconies are recessed to create usable external space and are located in various positions to create interest.”

Nice drawing fail there in image 2, the topo survey showing up the OS for what it is - but nobody at Fouin and Bell bothering to try and make sense of it. Even if it was a rush job, it only takes a minute to check your drawings, and it saves sending out stuff like this. Come on people! Clarity!
