Andrew Black Design are expanding their newly opened Dundee studio at Tay Street Lane with the appointment of a new associate to join their existing team of seven staff.Architect Hans Grabowski brings 22 years’ experience in the delivery of commercial, education and industrial projects and will be tasked with overseeing marketing and business development in his new role.
Gabrowski’s arrival will bolster the practice’s expertise in delivering sustainable, low energy buildings as well as off-site manufacturing.
Founded in 2002 the practice has set up shop within a C-listed mews property after remodeling the space to create a custom studio in the heart of the city’s cultural quarter.
Originally dating from 1830 the property incorporates part of the old town wall and includes two other commercial units which will be leased to other design-minded companies.
Work on the conversion got underway at the start of the year.
