CCG delivers twin Perth social housing developments
August 21 2017
CCG has completed work on 24 new build social houses on behalf of Perth & Kinross Council; including 16 cottage flats on Nimmo Avenue and a further eight flats at Cairns Crescent to the immediate north.Tenants have already moved into the properties, each of which has been designed for straightforward future conversion to wheelchair use.
Perth & Kinross Council’s housing and communities convener, councillor Peter Barrett commented: “Both of these builds have transformed unsightly lock-up sites into light and bright housing that will provide much-needed affordable accommodation for local people and also enhance the local neighbourhood.
“The new high-quality flats will give homes to new tenants with a range of accommodation needs. Both builds have ground floor accessible properties for wheelchairs and people with other mobility needs, which will be a valuable addition to the Councils housing stock.”
Each home was manufactured off-site using CCG’s proprietary closed panel timber frame system.
