Campaign to save Meadowbank goes online
July 10 2008
A website set up to prevent Edinburgh's Meadowbank Stadium being demolished and developed into new homes is urging the public to petition Edinburgh Council ahead of their next planning tomorrow (Friday).
The site http://savemeadowbank.org/ provides a template letter, and hopes to gather enough objections to prevent the plans going through.
The stadium was pivotal in the city's hosting of the Commonwealth Games in 1986.
