Greenock’s Custom House back in business after £4.1m refurbishment
July 6 2017
Greenock’s Custom House has been brought back to its Georgian splendour following a four-year long £4.1m renovation project overseen by Riverside Inverclyde and Elder & Cannon Architects.Tenants are now being sought for 18,000sq/ft of office space at the A-listed quayside property which combines 200 years of history with all the mod cons in a series of spectacular rooms; including the brilliant white pillared Long Room, portico entrance and grand staircase.
The accommodation doesn’t just offer a pretty face however with Cat6 ethernet cabling sensitively incorporated throughout.
Andrew Bowman, head of business investment and operations at Riverside Inverclyde, commented: “It really is Inverclyde's Jewel in the Crown and we wanted to make sure that we did the building justice with the refurbishment."
The Custom House stands adjacent to the Beacon Arts Centre.
