Plans lodged for Southdale expansion
June 14 2017
EWP Investments and EMA architects & masterplanners have brought forward plans for the latest phase of development at Southdale, a mixed-use development to the south of Armadale Station. This will include 270 new homes, 65 of which will be affordable, as well as a pharmacy, post office, dentist, veterinary surgery and coffee shop as well as a potential NHS health centre.
Dedicated community open space will also be provided, details of which will go on show from 18:00 on the 16 June at Armadale Community Education Centre.
Andrew Hutchinson from EWP said: “Our proposals will deliver much-needed housing for West Lothian, including affordable housing and amenity housing for the over 55’s, the first significant offering in Armadale in more than a decade.”
Previous phases of work have seen a primary school, car dealership, pub, Asda store, nursery and 362 homes built.

Terrible design, terrible building, terrible graphics, terrible everything. Why not try to work harder and make beautiful buildings.... Shameful

The image perhaps doesn't entirely sell the scheme, as best it could. I think the health centre scheme has merit.
