May 3 2017
Hub East Central have marked completion of BDP’s Waid Community Campus with a formal handover of the £21.5m school by BAM Construction.Gathering council services together under one roof the 800-pupil secondary will double-up as a community hub, housing council offices, a library and police station.
Picking up the keys Headteacher Iain Hughes said: “The excitement is reaching fever pitch now as we get closer to actually moving in. The old school is a well-loved building with a lot of history behind it, but the opportunities which the new building open to us are beyond compare.
“This isn’t just a school, it is a community building which will sit right at the heart of the community.”
Pupils and staff will migrate to the new school in June.

The death of any meaningful Architecture is noted. All hail the wondrous procurement method and the mighty DOLLAH!

#2 apparently the lost and found office housed there has already an inventory of 1 'new low'. The community notice board has a flyer with a sad picture of someone (maybe an architect) who has lost their integrity - no reward.
