Loch Earn leisure destination gains consent
Perthshire Caravans have won planning consent to build a leisure park on the banks of Loch Earn within Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park.

Overseen by Andrew Black Design and Algo Design & Build the project will see an existing lounge bar and steading demolished and replaced by a mixed-use entertainment facility housing a restaurant, function suite, play area and gym.

Black commented: “The lower level will be built into the existing slope, elevating the upper floor level to maximise views across Loch Earn and the surrounding area.

“As much material as possible will be re-used from the ruined steading to increase the use of natural materials. Large feature windows, and an elevated decking area to the North elevations, will make the most of these magnificent views and the use of stone for the lower level and timber cladding for the upper level should allow the building blend into its surroundings.”

The new facility will be available for use by the local community as well as tourists.

Bit of glass, bit of stone, bit of render, bit of greenish timber, couple of pitched gables - jobs a good 'in!

This will turn out great. Andrew Black and his team turn out some award-winning belters.
