Andy Murray seeks Cromlix House Hotel extension

Andy Murray, the world’s number one tennis player, is doubling down on his investment at Cromlix House Hotel, Perthshire, with plans to build an additional 30 rooms, a spa, conference hall and gym.Overseen by Murray himself it is hoped that the extension to the C-listed hotel will be ready to welcome guests by 2020, with work expected to get underway over the course of 2018 assuming that the necessary approvals are forthcoming.
Cromlix general manager Graeme Green said: “It is still early days however if these plans do progress we will discuss our proposals with the local council and community and look forward to receiving their feedback.”
The hotel was purchased by Murray in February 2013 since when a number of major renovations have been carried out including a new restaurant and upgraded bar, bathrooms and bedrooms.
An architect has yet to be appointed for the project.
