Indoor Football Centre planned for Glasgow Business Park
October 3 2016
CRGP Architects have prepared designs for an indoor football centre at Glasgow Business Park incorporating 10 five-a-side pitches and a larger football arena.Conceived by Kardon Investments the scheme will include a café, party room alongside the requisite changing rooms and offices and is intended to promote sporting activities within a climate controlled environment.
In their design statement the architects observed: “In designing the facility the main purpose was to create a building with maximum fresh air - a must for all players to perform at their best level - so with this in mind, added ‘air flow’. The ‘air flow’ system is designed to provide the maximum amount of fresh air so no matter how long the athlete has to perform, they would still be running on fresh air.”
The centre would be made available for school and community use during off peak hours.

I love the organic agricultural quality of it. Playful composition of solid and void blends seamlessly into the landscape. Great opportunity also for increased biodiversity with nesting gulls, with potential for algae and lichen growth. Would attract a varied clientele from ladies with red bags, to gentlemen with red scarfs. Love the relationship with the public realm, an axial route, framing views of the distant horizon. Well done to everyone involved.

It seems their innovative and creative ideas machine is running on fresh air!
Truly awful.

Judging from that image, I think they need an architect. A 'proper' one.
