BAM Construction has handed over a £21.5m secondary school in Kirkcaldy, the final project to be delivered under the Building Fife’s Future Framework which seeks to consolidate public services.Windmill Community Campus will offer replacement accommodation for up to 600 Viewforth High School pupils when it opens its doors on 17 August, together with a range of facilities including a sport centre, library and council offices which will double for community use.
The new campus will also play host to children and young adults with additional support needs currently catered for by Rosslyn School with a purpose built sensory and quiet rooms and specialist teachers.
Doug Keillor, Regional Director, BAM Construction said, “Windmill Community Campus is an inspiring and innovative building and a fine example of how a strong public and private sector relationship can deliver a first class building, on time and within budget, that will greatly benefit the local community.”
Windmill Community Campus has been designed by Fife Council property services and is being delivered in tandem with Levenmouth Academy and Waid Campus.

Bland. I think they could have made a bit more of an effort to create an inspiring, bold design for a school. A fart of a building. Add it to the list of 'builds to be torn down in 50 years because they have absolutely no architectural merit whatsoever'. We should be doing better for our kids to be honest.

Inspiring. I think they could have made an effort to waste resources on needless over design. a solid building. add it to the list of buildings that children found functional and the teaching inspired them to seek out the world. The TEACHERS are doing good for our kids. There fixed it for you.
