201 home Bonnington Village project passes planning
A 201 home residential development and two shops off Bonnington Road Lane, Edinburgh, has won unanimous support from planners following a wave of developer interest in the district.

Bonnington Village is being developed by Miller Homes and EMA Architects to include a collection of flats and townhouses as well as a new pedestrian and cycle route linking to the Water of Leith.

A central landscaped courtyard will be sandwiched between each of the flatted blocks, which employ red brick facades in reference to the former industrial nature of the area.

Work will now proceed to deliver the homes in the coming months for completion by 2017.

The problem with floor to ceiling windows and glass balconies is they accentuate the middens behind them. In some other countries folk seem to be more aware of how their property looks from the street.

'Village'?? Its looks more like the meatpacking district in New York. I can't exactly see Miss Marple settling down to retire here.
