Contractor appointed to deliver Gullane nursing home expansion
June 9 2016
Randolph Hill has awarded a £5.75m contract to Muir Construction to expand its Muirfield nursing home, Gullane, to provide 60 rooms following a competitive tender. This work will see a new build extension designed by Gilberts added to the current period property on the town’s High Street, following demolition of the neighbouring Bissets Hotel for which work is already underway.
Peter McCormick, managing director of Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group, said: “The redevelopment plans for Muirfield will transform the home and really benefit its residents with premium quality facilities and rooms which are much larger compared to typical nursing home standards.”
The project follows approval in principle for redevelopment of the former Scottish Fire and Rescue Service training college to provide 125 homes.
