Perth & Kinross Council press ahead with twin £23m schools rebuild
Perth & Kinross Council has filed separate planning applications for the complete rebuild of Tulloch and Kinross primaries as part of a £23m modernisation drive.

Both will be demolished and rebuilt to designs specified by Norr Architects with work set to get underway simultaneously in October.

Commenting on Kinross Primary Norr stated: “The various building elements effectively create a double storey ‘H’ form in the western portion of the site with the single storey nursery wing connecting into the northern end of the western wing. This serves to create an external courtyard to the north of the games hall which provides light into the nursery, games hall and rooms within the western teaching wing.

“The teaching wings extend south of the dining hall which also creates a recess in the building form at the southern end of the school which acts as an area for external dining.”

A similar approach is taken at Tulloch, which will be finished in textured brickwork and sparing use of timber to define the central zone of the school.
The slightly larger Kinross Primary will play host to 566 pupils and 74 nursery children
