Cameras set to roll on Cumbernauld film studio plan
March 9 2016
A new TV and film studio is set to take shape in Cumbernauld following submission of a planning application to extend an existing production facility at Wardpark Studios later this week. The 48,000sq/ft production base will gain an additional 30,000sq/ft under the plans, including two 50 foot high sound stages.
Culture secretary Fiona Hyslop said: "Wardpark Studios Limited’s decision to seek planning consent for new studio facilities in Cumbernauld marks an important milestone in our work to strengthen the Scottish screen sector.”
Wardpark Studios and HK surveying and design are finalising their application now with support from the Scottish government.

Perfect for Cumbernauld! Might give people a reason to actually go there.

copy and paste? You can't copy and paste an existing building. This is a refurbishment! Did you see the before pictures of the former isola building? This is a massive improvement.
