Cove Rangers press ahead with new Aberdeen ground
March 4 2016
Halliday Fraser Munro have drawn up plans for a 312 seat main stand, pitch and associated facilities at Calder Park, Aberdeen, future home of Cove Rangers FC.Situated on disused playing fields to the south of the city the move from Allan Park has been necessitated by the club’s need for larger premises in order to comply with new regulations laid down by the Scottish Football Association.
In a statement architects Halliday Fraser Munro said: “The building’s materials will consist of smooth render to the lower elevations with insulated panels to the upper elevation and roof in the blue and white colours of Cove Rangers FC.”
The revised scheme represents a scaling back of previous consents with Cove rangers electing to proceed alone instead of in partnership with Aberdeen FC.

A very sensible approach, but what is the timescale envisaged for planning consent, and building the stadium ?
