February 5 2016
Shipbuilder Ferguson Marine is to press ahead with a £2m HQ in Port Glasgow after obtaining planning consent by Inverclyde Council. The new office will complement a £12m upgrade programme for the yard which will enable it to build more ships and increase its involvement in fabrication projects for the energy sector.
Designed by Canata & Seggie the three storey office block will sit on existing parking bays at Castle Road, behind a façade of white Trespa wall panels and dark grey powder coated aluminium with undercroft parking.
Yard redevelopment has been underway for several months with the demolition of redundant buildings to make way for new facilities and equipment.
