January 20 2016
The University of Edinburgh is to commence work on a £25m Data Technology Institute, following the appointment of McLaughlin & Harvey as main contractor for the 100,000sq/ft project. The six storey facility has been designed by Bennetts Associates as a gateway to the university and is the final phase of its Potterrow development following the earlier Informatics Forum and Duguld Stewart Building.
Finishing off an urban block it will sit alongside these buildings to frame a public courtyard, all of which are clad in mix of natural stone and marble-aggregate polished concrete.
Completion is anticipated by late 2017.
