Barratt to build 40 affordable homes at the Gyle

Barratt Homes has revealed a £5m plan to build 40 affordable homes at The Gyle development in Edinburgh, launched last month.Scheduled for completion in October 2016 the apartments will be handed over to people for Places and will be built to the same standards as homes for private sale.
Mansoor Ali, development director at Barratt Homes in the East Scotland, said; “ Throughout the East of Scotland we are committed to providing 25 per cent affordable units at our developments. Our pledge at The Gyle, follows a significant milestone for Barratt as we have now delivered 332 affordable units in the capital with a further 260 units under construction.”
Barratt recently delivered 16 affordable homes at City Haven, Newhaven.
