NHS Grampian submits plans for Inverurie health hub
October 19 2015
NHS Grampian and hub North Scotland have tabled plans to construct a £14.6m health hub in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, described as the largest such health centre of its kind in Scotland.Playing host to 28 consulting rooms offering GP, dental and maternity services the Mackie Ramsay Taylor design is planned for the grounds of an existing community hub and will be capable of treating in excess of 20,000 patients per year when it opens its doors in 2018.
NHS Grampian project director Stan Mathieson remarked: “Inverurie and the surrounding area have grown extremely rapidly over recent years and it is important that we ensure our health care facilities match that growth.
“The proposed facility will do just that by providing modern, specialist care right in the heart of Inverurie for years to come.”
A public consultation on the plans will take place on 19 November at the Acorn Centre, Inverurie, between 11:00 and 20:00.
