October 5 2015
Scotland + Venice organisers are seeking architects and other participants to contribute content for next year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, which coincides with Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design. To that end an open tender has been issued via Public Contracts Scotland for a team composed of architects, designers and others to devise an integral curatorial and design proposal and delivery for the project.
Next year’s showcase is being directed by Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena with a theme of ‘Reporting from the Front’ which will explore what it is like to be on the ‘… cutting edge trying to conquer new fields’.
Entrants are being asked by Architecture + Design Scotland to emphasise connectivity between events held in Venice with audiences and visitors back at home.
A closing date for submissions has been set for 20 October.
