Fort William and Inverness student residences to break ground
Work to deliver 40 new student residences in Fort William and a further 150 beds in Inverness are to get underway within the next week following sign-off of a £44m deal between the University of the Highlands and Islands and developer Cityheart.

Both projects are valued at a combined £10m with sites chosen near West Highland College UHI and Inverness College for delivery by September 2016.

Designed by KDP the Fort William development will be sited on vacant ground next to a Lidl supermarket at Camanachd Crescent.
The Inverness project has been designed by Keppie and will be clad in treated larch.

A second phase, valued at £34m, is expected to deliver an additional 470 student beds by September of the following year.

great to see the tandem making a resurgence into Student transport in Inverness...!
The Keppie scheme looks a lot more thought out than the KDP scheme.

image #1 - Dear KDP, please ask yourself if you are really fixed on architecture as your chosen career. Have you thought about accountancy?
image #2 Dear Keppie, as above.
