August 27 2015
The most senior staff member tasked with delivering the Festival of Architecture 2016 has quit just months before the programme of events was due to kick off.Gerry Grams was appointed as festival director by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland in October of last year, a high profile position which entailed overseeing the events programme and its delivery whilst reporting directly to festival partners.
RIAS secretary Neil Baxter told Urban Realm: “Gerry elected to change his involvement in the Festival. His choice and one we respect but we are delighted that he is still involved and will be helping to create some of the highlights of the year.”
No replacement figure has been announced for the key role.
