Glasgow Caledonian University continue campus overhaul
July 23 2015
Glasgow Caledonian University have submitted plans for over-cladding works to the Hamish Wood Building on its Cowcaddens Road campus; including replacement windows, enhanced insulation and remodeled external stairwells.Overseen by Honeyman Jack & Robertson the work will see the existing concrete panel façade overclad with rainscreen cladding in three anodised silver grey colours.
Stairwells will be overlaid with charcoal rainscreen panels, extending to ground level where possible.
The work coincides with the university’s £30m Heart of the Campus development which seeks to create a new public front door for the institution around a courtyard garden space.
