Anderson Bell Christie to deliver next phase of Laurieston work
July 7 2015
Anderson Bell Christie has been appointed by developer Urban Union Ltd to design the next phase of 210 homes at the award winning Laurieston development, Glasgow.Following in the footsteps of Page\Park and Elder & Cannon the architects will further densify the area with tenement scale properties, maintaining the focus on high quality brick that defined the first phase.
The image shown is reproduced from the architect’s competitive bid document and is likely to be superseded as further design development is undertaken ahead of a formal planning application.
Future phasing will include further homes as well as the introduction of retail, hotel accommodation and community facilities.

Glad to see this promising development gain further momentum. The recently completed Laurieston schemes are of significantly greater urban merit than most typical housing schemes in Glasgow in recent years. This area, and hopefully many others along the fragmented southern fringes of the Clyde, will benefit greatly from structured redevelopment. I will reserve comment on Anderson Bell Christie’s scheme as it is stated in the article that it will be further developed. However, as it stands, it appears controlled. Good luck.
