Work gets underway at Broughty Ferry school conversion
May 15 2015
Hadden Construction has begun work on the conversion of a former Eastern Primary School, Broughty Ferry, to form 27 open plan flats within former classrooms.Tor Homes and Manson Architects are overhauling the A-listed school, a local landmark since its construction in 1911, retaining period features such as vaulted ceilings and cathedral-style windows in the process.
Internally flats will adopt a modern aesthetic with mezzanine levels and glass walls with existing classroom doors re-used to form new double doors in communal corridors.
Paul Millan, director of Tor Homes, said: “We are delighted with the appointment of Hadden Construction and, given their experience of many sensitive refurbishment projects, we now look forward to making good progress with the Eastern Residences development.”

This looks like such a great scheme to reuse this beautiful building full of local heritage! Do we know the planning reference? I can't find it on the Dundee Council site.
