Fresh bid mounted for Inverness brewery approval
March 25 2015
Inverness hoteliers Jon and Victoria Erasmus, owners of the Glen Mhor Hotel, have submitted fresh plans for a micro-brewery in the grounds of their riverside property after a previous scheme was thrown out by councillors. For their second bash the applicants say they have addressed concerns relating to the scale of the build and the impact on the surrounding road network in conjunction with their architects, Colin Armstrong Associates.
This would see an existing bar annexe cleared to make way for a glazed atrium extension within the Ness Bank conservation area, housing a visitor centre, art gallery and shop in addition to a brewery.
A previous scheme was rejected unanimously by councillors in October.
