Ayrshire Housing consults locals on regeneration scheme
November 28 2007
Ayrshire Housing is involved in a major regeneration scheme which will see the construction of 100 new houses in Lochside, Ayr over the next year, and are consulting the locals as to the design, use and long-term control of public space.Working with Placemaking Scotland and local regeneration specialist Ayrshire Initiatives, the first of two sessions was held this week to give local residents their say on the project. The second, aimed at young people, will be held on Saturday 8 December.
Using techniques developed initially in New York, Placemaking Scotland will then draw up an action plan for the local community to organise around with Ayrshire Housing and South Ayrshire Council.
