Finalised plans for Dunoon’s Queens Hall approved
December 18 2014
Argyll & Bute Council has approved plans drawn up by Malcolm Fraser Architects for the redevelopment of Dunoon’s Queens Hall; including the demolition of a glazed portico and ancillary building together with the full refurbishment and remodelling of the 1950s venue. This will allow a new health and well-being suite to be built alongside a library, skills centre, tourist information office and café and will entail the realignment of Argyll Street and Alexandra Parade to improve circulation.
Landscape architects ERZ and David Narro structural engineers are assisting with the build which is expected to get underway in the New Year.
The new look hall will be delivered in tandem with a community-led renovation of the historic Burgh Hall.
