The results of this year's Saltire Awards will be announced on Thursday 2 November at the Lighthouse at 7pm.

The awards will be presented by Rhona Brankin and the ceremony will be followed by a talk by Miles Glendinning about plans for the 70th anniversary of the awards next year. Shortlisted projects represent a wide range of building types and design solutions and are located across Scotland from Castle Douglas to the Gorbals.

Karen Anderson, convenor of the Saltire Housing Design Awards panel, said: "More than simply an award for aesthetic design, the Saltire Housing Design Awards are presented to those who, in the context of the social and political landscape of the country and its housing needs, provide housing designed to meet the ever changing lifestyles."
