Edinburgh Airport lands Hampton by Hilton hotel
November 24 2014
Edinburgh Airport is in line for its third passenger hotel with plans being drawn up for a 175 room Hampton by Hilton close to the newly expanded terminal. The £16m scheme has been drawn up by 3D Reid Architects on behalf of Ability Hotel Group for construction toward the tail end of 2015.
Ian Kettlewell, director of planning consultancy Nathaniel Litchfield & Partners, said that the scheme would address ‘an identified shortfall in the number of rooms around the airport’. He concluded: “It is in a prominent location on a key route into Edinburgh Airport and has been designed to provide a positive landmark building.”
A public consultation into the proposed plans will take place at Norwood Community Wing, Ratho Station tomorrow between 15:30 and 19:00.

Wow! Fantastic! What can I say! What artistic endeavour! Superlative! - Still, at least it'll be recyclable into a 70's DHSS office building.
